📋 Description

• The Sr. Engineering Insights Analyst role at Alteryx is pivotal in transforming engineering data into actionable insights that improve software quality, productivity, reliability, and cost efficiency across the organization.
• Day to day, you will analyze data from the software development lifecycle—including pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, incident management, and observability platforms—using advanced SQL and Python to build trusted metrics and dashboards in Superset that guide engineering leaders.
• You will join Alteryx’s Engineering Intelligence team, a remote-friendly unit focused on building a data-driven understanding of how engineering operates, collaborating closely with engineering managers, platform teams, DevOps/SRE, FinOps, and leadership to define KPIs and ensure data consistency.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in engineering effectiveness metrics, create data products used daily by leaders, and translate complex datasets into clear recommendations that drive decisions on platform adoption, reliability risks, bottlenecks, and infrastructure cost efficiency—helping Alteryx scale engineering sustainably.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong SQL skills with experience writing advanced queries to analyze engineering data
• Experience using Python for data analysis or building lightweight data pipelines
• Experience building dashboards in Superset, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools
• Familiarity with engineering concepts such as pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, SLOs, incident management, and service reliability metrics
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate ambiguous questions into measurable metrics
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and leadership audiences
