  • • Serve as the primary liaison between the Finance division and IT organization to deliver product and user experience solutions aligned with business needs in financial accounting and reporting.
  • • Act as the main point of contact for the configuration, development, and ongoing support of multiple financial systems across the Controller and Treasury divisions.
  • • Develop high-level business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications for the IT team, while managing changes to those specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • • Lead or contribute as a project lead, business systems analyst lead, or technical lead for small to medium-sized initiatives, or manage specific phases of larger efforts.
  • • Proactively identify opportunities to improve requirements gathering, documentation processes, and the translation of business needs into technical solutions.
  • • Configure and maintain the Workday Financial platform, including Security Domains and Business Processes, or support Cognos and Power BI reporting environments.
  • • Leverage AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial systems and reporting workflows.
  • • Interpret and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.
  • • Lead, organize, and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments and associated resources with minimal supervision.
  • • Present financial system solutions and concepts to diverse business units using strong analytical, conceptual, and facilitation skills.
  • • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support reporting, documentation, and communication.
  • • Maintain excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical forums to ensure alignment between finance and IT teams.
  • • Adapt to changing priorities, multitask effectively, meet multiple deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • • Occasional travel to the Chattanooga, TN headquarters may be required for meetings, training, or final interviews.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in business or computer science, or equivalent professional work experience (4 years in a corporate environment)
  • • 4 years of progressive work experience in accounting or finance-related systems
  • • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • • Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Workday Financial (Security Domains, Business Processes) and/or Cognos, Power BI, or similar financial reporting platforms
  • • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • • Strong analytical, presentation, and team facilitation skills with a track record of process improvement
