Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Tenstorrent is seeking a Staff Analog/Mixed Signal Design Engineer to develop differentiated die-to-die chiplet PHY IP solutions including PLLs, contributing to cutting-edge AI technology that redefines computing performance, efficiency, and usability.
- • The role involves full lifecycle ownership of analog/mixed-signal IP: design, verification, layout collaboration, tape-out, and silicon bring-up to production quality, working closely with architecture, digital, verification, layout, and software teams to integrate and optimize AMS IP in deep sub-micron FinFET technologies.
- • Tenstorrent is a U.S.-based AI hardware innovator building high-performance RISC-V CPUs and scalable AI platforms from scratch, driven by a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and solving hard problems in semiconductor and systems innovation.
- • The engineer will gain expertise in pushing die-to-die chiplet PHY IP limits in advanced FinFET nodes, co-optimizing analog/digital/layout for power/performance/area, and mastering high-speed I/O and PHY architectures for scalable, reusable AMS IP across multiple products.
🎯 Requirements
- • BSEE/MSEE/PhD with 10 years of relevant analog/mixed-signal IC design experience, including PLL and AMS design in FinFET processes.
- • Proficient with industry-standard EDA tools and experienced in layout-driven design, with strong understanding of layout constraints and impacts on circuit performance.
- • Proven experience with circuit/SoC tape-outs that reached production, including silicon bring-up, testing, and validation.
- • Background in high-speed datacomm/SerDes and die-to-die PHY design, including bias generators, amplifiers, LDOs, oscillators, ADCs/DACs, Tx/Rx sub-circuits, and DDR/PCIe/USB PHY components.
- • Familiarity with high-speed digital circuits (serializer/deserializer, dividers) and Tx/Rx equalization techniques (de-emphasis, CTLE, DFE).
- • Collaborative, data-driven engineer capable of analyzing, documenting, and presenting results with a self-motivated, energetic approach to improving AMS IP.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation package ranging from $100k to $500k including base and variable targets, based on experience, skills, education, and location.
- • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI hardware technology with a team building industry-leading RISC-V CPUs and scalable AI platforms.
- • Remote work flexibility open to any location within the United States.
- • Exposure to full product lifecycle from architecture to high-volume production in advanced semiconductor nodes.
- • Access to professional growth in high-speed I/O, PHY design, and scalable analog/mixed-signal IP development.
- • Equal opportunity employer with inclusive hiring practices and commitment to diversity.
