📋 Description

• As a Staff Product Manager at MongoDB, you will own and drive the Platform — the foundational infrastructure layer powering the Application Modernization Platform (AMP), a high-impact, technically demanding role at the intersection of platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and next-generation AI.
• You will be responsible for standing up or significantly evolving the platform from the ground up, covering service hosting, API gateways, identity and access management, observability stacks, telemetry pipelines, and error-logging frameworks.
• MongoDB is a global leader in modern database technology, empowering over 60,000 customers — including 75% of the Fortune 100 and AI-native startups — to innovate at speed with its unified, cloud-native database platform, MongoDB Atlas, available across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in platform product management, influence technical strategy at scale, collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams, and shape the reliability and scalability of critical infrastructure that enables AI-driven application modernization.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of overall professional experience, with 4+ years in product management focused on platform, infrastructure, observability, or SRE domains
• Deep technical fluency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on familiarity with API gateway configuration, service mesh patterns, and microservices architecture
• Working knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML) and authorization models (RBAC, ABAC)
• Experience with at least one full observability stack: metrics collection, distributed tracing, and centralized log management
• Proven ability to define and track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs/error budgets) and drive engineering teams toward measurable reliability goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate complex infrastructure concepts for both technical and executive audiences
• Comfortable operating in high ambiguity; able to define product scope and priorities with incomplete information
