Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Eigen Labs is at the forefront of revolutionizing the internet by building the foundational infrastructure for a more trustworthy digital ecosystem. In today's online landscape, trust is often based on "trust-me" promises – assumptions about the impartiality of AI, the integrity of social media algorithms, and the commitment of digital services. These inherent trust gaps create significant friction, limiting the potential of what can be achieved online.
- • Our flagship product, EigenCloud, directly addresses this challenge by enabling any digital service to be verifiable. Built upon the robust EigenLayer protocol, which has already secured billions in economic value, EigenCloud empowers developers to create applications with mathematical guarantees of trust, moving beyond mere assurances. This innovative approach offers developers the best of both worlds: the familiarity of contemporary cloud tools and programming environments combined with the unparalleled verifiability of blockchain technology. Developers can leverage their existing skill sets without the need to rewrite applications in specialized blockchain languages or compromise on functionality due to the limitations of traditional smart contract environments.
- • For the broader world, EigenCloud unlocks a new era of transformative applications. Imagine AI systems that possess economic accountability for their outputs, social platforms with verifiable and manipulation-resistant algorithms, prediction markets capable of resolving based on any real-world event, and financial services offering cryptographic transparency. Essentially, any application where trust and correctness are paramount can be fundamentally enhanced.
- • Eigen Labs is shifting the focus beyond the current emphasis on digital currencies within the crypto space, aiming to make all digital interactions inherently more trustworthy. With the fastest-growing developer ecosystem in the cryptocurrency sector and robust backing from leading investors, we stand at a pivotal moment where verifiable computing is poised to become mainstream.
- • As a Summer Fellow in 2026, you will play a critical role in this mission. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of EigenCloud-native applications and product prototypes during an intensive, 10-week program. This role demands rapid iteration, with a focus on shipping in rapid milestones and building in public where appropriate. Your contributions will result in tangible, usable artifacts designed to accelerate developer adoption of EigenCloud.
- • You will join a highly selective cohort of ambitious builders, collaborating closely with our experienced engineers and dedicated mentors. Together, you will craft real-world solutions that directly advance our core mission: building humanity's coordination engine for open innovation. Your work will be instrumental in accelerating ecosystem growth through the creation of reference applications, essential tooling, and launchable products.
- • This fellowship provides unparalleled access to industry leaders who will serve as your mentors, offering guidance and insights throughout the program. The program will be conducted on-site in San Francisco, fostering a collaborative and immersive environment. Please note that we can only consider applicants with valid US work authorization.
- • Your responsibilities will include:
- • Identifying a compelling problem space and choosing to build either independently or as part of a small, collaborative team with fellow participants.
- • Rapidly prototyping innovative ideas, aiming to bring them to a working Proof of Concept (POC) within an aggressive 3-5 day timeframe.
- • Developing products that vividly demonstrate the capabilities of EigenCloud, which may include applications, developer tools, templates, integrations, or new workflows.
- • Engaging in weekly iteration cycles, focusing on shipping features, gathering feedback, and refining your work based on insights.
- • Working closely with mentors and engineers through regular reviews, dedicated office hours, and asynchronous feedback loops, emphasizing practical learning over structured bootcamps.
- • Presenting your progress during weekly stand-up meetings and delivering a polished, impactful demo at the program's culminating Hackathon Finale and Demo Day.
- • Producing high-quality, shareable deliverables that empower other developers, such as open-source code repositories, comprehensive documentation, engaging demo videos, or sample deployment configurations.
- • Furthermore, if your project demonstrates significant traction and potential during the fellowship, there may be opportunities to extend your work beyond the program or even transition into a full-time role at Eigen Labs.
