  • • Lead, design, deploy, and operate enterprise applications, infrastructure platforms, and network services in a demanding, highly available environment to ensure availability, reliability, performance, and security of Sunrun’s systems and network infrastructure.
  • • Supervise day-to-day operations for System and Network Operations teams, serve as an escalation point for complex incidents, and provide technical and people leadership for a medium-sized team through mentorship, coaching, and career development.
  • • Partner with Engineering, Network Engineering, Security, and Technical Program/Project Managers to create, scale, and support critical tools, systems, and network services that enable Sunrun’s business operations as a vertically integrated clean energy leader.
  • • Drive quarterly planning, execute on Internal Tools and Infrastructure vision, recruit and grow a high-performing team, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement while aligning with business priorities and operational standards.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 6–8+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations, including systems, infrastructure, and/or network operations at scale
  • • 2+ years of experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory role on a technical operations team
  • • Hands-on experience with enterprise systems administration and SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Workspace ONE, or similar tools
  • • Demonstrated experience supporting and operating enterprise network environments (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN), including incident response and operational troubleshooting
  • • Experience partnering with network engineers, security teams, and vendors to support reliable and secure network services
  • • Familiarity with identity and access management (Okta, Active Directory), cloud platforms (AWS and cloud networking concepts), virtualization and VDI (VMware, VDI technologies), enterprise networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN), monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices
  • • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms for incident, change, and problem management
  • • Strong understanding of enterprise security best practices and experience participating in security incident management
  • • Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows, or agility and growth mindset to rapidly master new AI technologies
  • • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making
  • • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-stage or technology-driven environments
  • • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and operational delivery models
  • • Passion for building resilient, cloud-first platforms and networks that scale with the business
