- • The Systems Administrator role at Avicado is critical to ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across cloud platforms, communication tools, and enterprise systems, directly enabling productivity, security, and scalability for a growing technology consultancy serving enterprise clients in construction and data-driven industries.
- • This position is pivotal in stabilizing and optimizing core IT infrastructure—including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Slack—while driving automation and process improvements that reduce manual effort, enhance user experience, and support strategic IT initiatives aligned with business goals.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include administering and supporting the Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD, security, licensing, conditional access), managing SharePoint Online site collections, permissions, governance, and resolving user issues.
- • The role involves overseeing Azure subscriptions and resources with a focus on security posture, cost optimization, and resource tagging, ensuring compliance and efficient cloud spend.
- • Administration of Slack workspaces is a key duty, including managing org-level settings, configuring integrations, building and maintaining workflows, and troubleshooting user access and app issues.
- • Providing responsive, high-quality IT support to end-users in a remote-first environment is essential, requiring clear communication, patience, and a service-oriented mindset to resolve tickets and guide users effectively.
- • Automation of repeatable IT tasks using PowerShell or similar tools is expected, including scripting user provisioning, license management, security policy enforcement, and reporting to reduce manual workload.
- • Documenting processes, creating runbooks, and contributing to the internal knowledge base (e.g., Notion or similar) is a core responsibility to ensure knowledge sharing, consistency, and scalability across the IT team.
- • The Systems Administrator will partner closely with the broader IT team to support enterprise client projects, offering infrastructure expertise and operational readiness for client-facing technology deployments.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in enterprise cloud administration, particularly within Microsoft ecosystems, while gaining hands-on experience in automation, IT service management, and cross-functional collaboration in a high-growth, remote-first tech consultancy.
- • Success in this position offers the opportunity to shape IT best practices, influence security and compliance standards, and grow into a trusted advisor on technology operations—potentially leading to advancement into senior systems engineering, cloud architecture, or IT management roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar enterprise IT infrastructure role.
- • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Entra ID/Azure AD, security configurations, licensing, and conditional access policies.
- • Hands-on experience administering Slack workspaces, managing integrations, workflows, and org-level settings in a business environment.
- • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation of IT tasks such as user management, reporting, and system configuration.
- • Experience supporting end-user services in a remote or distributed team environment, with strong communication and customer service skills.
- • English fluency at C1 level or higher, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
- • Based in Argentina with the ability to work aligned with U.S. Pacific Time (PST), requiring overlap during core business hours (approximately 5-hour time difference).
