Technical Lead

📋 Description

• • As a Technical Lead at Arbor Education, you will take ownership of system and solution design to ensure products are robust, scalable, and secure, directly contributing to the mission of transforming how schools work by reducing burnout and making education more joyful for staff.
• • Day to day, you will define and guide system architecture, mentor and coach engineers, champion quality and accountability, lead root cause analysis, work with product and engineering teams to align technical direction with strategy, and ensure non-functional requirements like performance, reliability, and security are met in all designs.
• • You will join an engineering team at Arbor Education, a company whose MIS and school management tools are already making a difference in over 7,000 schools and trusts across the UK, with a strong focus on improving working lives for education staff through better technology.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scalable system design, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership while shaping technical culture and driving adoption of best practices in observability, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and secure coding across the organization.
