- • BJAK is on a mission to build superior application platforms that foster successful businesses and contribute positively to society by enhancing efficiency. We have already established ourselves as the pioneer and leader in Southeast Asia's insurance technology sector, successfully digitizing the industry and serving over 8 million users across the region. Our journey continues as we expand our horizons by developing new, cutting-edge applications, increasingly integrating artificial intelligence to address emerging use cases. Our team is characterized by its high density of talent, exceptional motivation, and a laser focus on engineering and product excellence, all within a remarkably flat organizational structure. Every team member is expected to be hands-on, actively contributing to the company’s overarching mission.
- • As a Total Rewards Specialist at BJAK, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of owning the execution, ensuring the accuracy, and driving the continuous improvement of our comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This is a fundamentally hands-on and detail-driven role, meticulously designed to guarantee that our reward structures are not only competitive within the market but also maintain internal equity and are scalable to support our ambitious growth across various international markets. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including People Operations, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Finance, and senior leadership, to provide essential support for salary reviews, the administration of benefits, and informed decision-making related to all aspects of employee rewards.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical functions. You will actively support the design, meticulous implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our salary structures, ensuring they align with market trends and our strategic objectives. This includes developing and refining incentive schemes and broader rewards frameworks that motivate and retain our top talent. A significant part of your role will involve conducting thorough compensation benchmarking and participating in market surveys. This rigorous analysis is crucial for ensuring our compensation packages remain competitive and that internal equity is maintained across all roles and levels within the organization.
- • You will be instrumental in preparing detailed salary review proposals, processing adjustments, and generating comprehensive reports for leadership review and approval processes. Furthermore, you will take ownership of the administration of our diverse employee benefits programs. This includes managing medical insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, various types of leave, and other allowances, ensuring they are administered efficiently and accurately. A key aspect of your role will be to serve as the primary point of contact, liaising effectively with external benefits providers to manage relationships and resolve any issues. You will also be the go-to person for employees, confidently handling their queries related to compensation and benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
- • Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant statutory requirements, labor laws, and internal policies is paramount. You will meticulously oversee compensation and benefits practices to guarantee adherence across all jurisdictions where we operate. Maintaining precise and up-to-date records is essential for supporting audits, facilitating management reviews, and enabling robust people analytics. Your contributions will extend to supporting broader HR projects and strategic initiatives, particularly those related to rewards, policy updates, and the scaling of our people systems to accommodate our rapid growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and refine the total rewards philosophy and practices of a rapidly expanding, technology-driven company.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in compensation and benefits, total rewards, or broader HR roles with significant and demonstrable exposure to C&B functions. A solid understanding of local labor laws, statutory contributions, tax regulations, and the intricacies of benefits administration is non-negotiable. You must possess strong analytical skills, an unwavering attention to detail, and a high degree of comfort working with complex data sets, market benchmarks, and detailed reports. Proficiency in using HRIS systems and advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) is essential for managing and analyzing compensation data effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with the confidence to handle employee-facing queries with professionalism and clarity, are vital. We are looking for an individual with a practical, execution-oriented mindset, someone who is focused on ensuring details are precisely managed and who is committed to continuously improving systems and processes over time. While experience with regional or international compensation frameworks is a strong advantage, it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.
