  • • As the Workday HCM Manager at Achievers Corporation, you will be instrumental in shaping and owning our unified global HR system, Workday. This is a critical 24-month contract role where you will have significant autonomy and a highly visible impact within a profitable, scaling SaaS company. You will be the primary steward of Workday, ensuring its successful implementation, ongoing administration, and continuous improvement.
  • • Your role will involve establishing a robust Workday operating model from the ground up. This includes defining processes, governance, and best practices to ensure the system is secure, compliant, and scalable for future growth. You will partner closely with a modern implementation approach, leveraging the expertise of a trusted third-party implementation partner.
  • • A key aspect of your responsibility will be to harden the Workday tenant, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance. You will also be tasked with developing and documenting repeatable processes that will enable the long-term success and maintainability of the Workday system beyond the initial implementation phase.
  • • You will actively support the Workday implementation, working collaboratively with the implementation partner to deliver an impact-focused backlog. This means prioritizing and executing on key functionalities and enhancements that drive business value and improve the employee experience.
  • • Day-to-day administration of Workday will be a core part of your role. This includes managing configurations, user access, data integrity, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operation of the HR system.
  • • You will lead security-first release readiness for all Workday updates and enhancements. This involves thorough testing, risk assessment, and communication to ensure that all changes are implemented securely and without disruption to business operations.
  • • Ensuring the Workday tenant remains secure, compliant with relevant regulations, and scalable to accommodate future business needs will be paramount. You will proactively monitor system performance, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to maintain a high standard of operational excellence.
  • • The scope of Workday for Phase 1 includes Core HCM functionalities, Canadian and global payroll connect, Talent Optimization, Learning Management, Advanced Compensation, Benefits administration, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. You will also be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of at least six critical integrations.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to build a foundational HR technology framework for a rapidly growing company. You will have access to Workday Success Plan (Accelerate) resources, which will facilitate faster adoption and continuous learning, allowing you to stay at the forefront of Workday capabilities.

You will be expected to drive initiatives, provide expert guidance, and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across HR, IT, and business units.
  • • Your contributions will directly impact the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and payroll to performance management and learning, ensuring a consistent and positive experience for all Achievers employees globally.
  • • You will play a crucial role in defining the future state of HR technology at Achievers, laying the groundwork for future phases of Workday implementation and optimization.
  • • This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution, ensuring that the Workday system not only meets current needs but is also future-proofed.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Workday configurations, processes, and user guides, ensuring knowledge transfer and ongoing support capabilities.
  • • Ultimately, you will be the go-to expert for Workday within the organization, providing guidance, training, and support to end-users and stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience managing and administering Workday HCM, including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and Talent modules.
  • • Strong understanding of HR business processes and how they translate into Workday configurations and solutions.
  • • Experience with Workday implementation methodologies and best practices, including tenant hardening and operating model development.
  • • Ability to lead security-first release readiness and manage system updates and enhancements.
  • • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
