About Blue Star Families

Blue Star Families is a nonprofit founded in 2009 by military spouses to strengthen military families through research, community programs, and advocacy. It provides resources for career development, caregiving, education, and mental health, while fostering civilian-military understanding. The organization publishes annual Military Family Lifestyle surveys that guide policy and programming. Its flagship Books on Bases, Blue Star Museums, and Blue Star Parks initiatives offer cultural enrichment and outdoor access to service members and their families worldwide.
