- • The Product Design Intern will work on real design challenges at the intersection of AI, design, and the open web, directly contributing to how AI credits and compensates content creators and publishers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the end-to-end product design process—from concept and user flows to wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI—for ProRata’s Gist platform, designing for AI transparency, contributing to the design system, and elevating visual design with fresh, cohesive elements.
- • The intern will be embedded within ProRata’s design team at a mission-driven AI startup founded by Bill Gross and incubated at Idealab Studio, working in Pasadena, CA or remotely to support a platform that ensures fair attribution and compensation in the era of generative AI.
- • The intern will gain hands-on experience with modern AI-assisted design workflows, receive direct mentorship from experienced design leaders, build a portfolio of impactful work, and develop skills in UX, product thinking, and design systems while contributing to a product that reshapes how creators are valued online.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current undergraduate (Junior/Senior) or graduate student pursuing a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
- • High proficiency in Figma and a strong visual design eye.
- • Solid understanding of UX principles and product thinking.
- • Ability to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week for ten consecutive weeks this summer.
- • Portfolio and resume required with application.
