- • AI Tutor, Electrochemistry & Functional Materials Specialist (contract) role at Handshake AI, serving as a subject matter expert to evaluate and improve AI model performance in scientific reasoning, particularly in chemistry domains.
- • Design and evaluate complex chemistry prompts across electrochemistry, functional materials, surface chemistry, and solid-state chemistry; apply adversarial prompting to identify model reasoning failures; critically assess AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and scientific validity.
- • Work with Handshake Technologies, Inc., a remote-first company focused on AI model evaluation and training, contributing to quality standards and providing expert feedback to improve AI systems in scientific contexts.
- • Develop deep expertise in AI model evaluation, scientific prompt engineering, and adversarial testing; contribute to advancing AI reliability in technical domains while building experience in AI safety, RLHF, and technical quality assurance.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- • Graduate-level expertise across multiple areas of Chemistry
- • Prior hands-on experience in AI data annotation or RLHF
- • Excellent written communication and analytical skills
- • Permanently based in the US (no visa sponsorship available)
