- • As a Senior Application Security Engineer at Voize Inc., you will play a critical role in safeguarding the AI-powered platform that empowers over 150,000 nurses across 1,100+ care facilities by reducing administrative burden and giving frontline healthcare workers back valuable time for patient care. Your work directly supports Voize’s mission to amplify human impact through secure, reliable technology, ensuring that the platform remains trustworthy and resilient against evolving threats in a high-stakes healthcare environment.
- • You will continuously map and assess the security posture of Voize’s services, repositories, and cloud infrastructure, identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities in application code, dependencies, and system configurations to drive timely remediation.
- • You will conduct thorough security reviews of new and existing features, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure secure design and implementation practices are embedded from the outset, including threat modeling and secure coding guidance.
- • You will implement, maintain, and optimize security tooling such as SAST, DAST, and dependency scanners, integrating them seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, scalable vulnerability detection without slowing development velocity.
- • You will establish and refine lightweight, developer-friendly security processes throughout the software development lifecycle, promoting security as a shared responsibility through education, clear guidelines, and practical guardrails.
- • You will lead security incident investigations when needed, conducting root cause analysis and driving improvements through blameless post-incident reviews to strengthen resilience and prevent recurrence.
- • You will support and enhance Voize’s vulnerability response program, including managing externally reported issues via responsible disclosure channels and bug bounty platforms, ensuring timely triage, communication, and remediation.
- • You will work within a fast-growing, mission-driven startup culture that values resilience, iterative improvement, and open communication, where your technical expertise will directly contribute to both product security and organizational learning.

🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in a security-focused role combined with a solid background in backend engineering, DevOps, or a closely related technical field
- • Hands-on experience with application security tooling (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) and integrating security automation into CI/CD pipelines
- • Ability to read, understand, and write production-level code, particularly in backend systems
- • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including securing cloud-native infrastructures
- • Practical understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10
