- • As a (Senior) Specialist Energy Market Communication & Balancing, you will play a key role in supporting Octopus Energy’s mission to revolutionize the global energy market by enabling 100% sustainable energy supply through innovative technology and market solutions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing energy market data, supporting balancing group management, communicating market developments internally and externally, and contributing to the optimization of energy procurement and dispatch strategies.
- • You will join a dynamic, agile, and future-oriented team at Octopus Energy Germany, part of a global EnerTech company actively expanding heat pump installations, smart meter rollouts, e-mobility solutions, and renewable energy generation from wind and solar.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in European energy markets, develop skills in market communication and balancing mechanisms, and contribute directly to the energy transition while working in an innovative, purpose-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong understanding of European energy markets, particularly balancing mechanisms and market communication
- • Experience in energy market monitoring, data analysis, or related operational support within the energy sector
- • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with ability to convey complex market information clearly
- • Analytical mindset with proficiency in interpreting market data and supporting decision-making processes
- • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- • Relevant academic background in energy economics, engineering, business, or a related field
