We are seeking a passionate Product Experience Designer to craft intuitive, engaging, and emotionally resonant user experiences for our massive and growing community of approximately 155 million monthly active users.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing experiences that empower our users to effortlessly discover compelling stories, immerse themselves deeply in narratives, and maintain an extended state of engagement and flow. Your work will directly impact how millions of users interact with content and connect with creators.
- • You will collaborate intimately with Product Managers, Engineers, and a diverse range of cross-functional teams. This partnership will involve a holistic approach to product development, from deeply understanding user needs and motivations to exploring innovative solutions and ultimately delivering high-quality experiences that harmoniously balance user goals with critical business outcomes.
- • This position is ideal for a designer who thrives in both the investigative phases of discovery and the meticulous craft of execution. You will leverage your design expertise to bring clarity to complex problems, build momentum for new initiatives, and generate tangible value for our users and the business.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of the design process. This includes conducting user research to uncover insights, translating those insights into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups, and prototyping interactive experiences to test and iterate on concepts.
- • You will be a champion for the user, advocating for their needs and ensuring that their journey on Wattpad is seamless, enjoyable, and rewarding. This involves understanding the unique motivations of our diverse Gen Z audience and crafting experiences that resonate with their storytelling preferences.
- • A key aspect of this role is to contribute to the strategic direction of our product. You will participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute to product roadmaps, and help define the future of storytelling platforms.
- • You will be responsible for designing for various features and surfaces within the Wattpad ecosystem, potentially including story discovery algorithms, reading interfaces, community interaction features, creator tools, and monetization strategies.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design projects.

- • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design solutions.
- • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.
