  • Having successfully validated our technology and operational model within the Netherlands, Monumental is now poised for aggressive scaling, particularly in the United Kingdom market. The company comprises a dynamic team of approximately 100 individuals, predominantly composed of highly skilled engineers and technicians who bring with them a wealth of experience from esteemed organizations such as Palantir, Qualcomm, Dyson, Shopify, Tesla, Meta, and 1X. As we are still in the foundational stages of building Monumental, this role presents an exceptional opportunity to become an early employee within a high-growth, high-ambition startup environment. From the outset, you will collaborate directly with an experienced founding team, supported by top-tier investors, contributing to the company's trajectory.
  • Monumental's unique value proposition lies in its complete vertical integration. We not only design and develop our proprietary hardware and software but also manufacture the robots in-house. Furthermore, we deploy these robots on construction sites ourselves, utilizing our dedicated team and operating as a subcontractor. This comprehensive control over the entire process ensures quality and efficiency.
  • The role of Account Manager at Monumental transcends traditional sales functions. It is not merely about scheduling meetings or providing sales support; instead, your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and drive repeatable commercial momentum within the construction industry, a sector known for its inherent resistance to rapid change. Our approach to business development is deeply rooted in traditional values: we build cutting-edge technology, but we sell through personal engagement, on-site presence, and the cultivation of trust. This is not a remote-first sales position; construction demands tangible presence and direct interaction, not just polished presentations.
  • You will work in close collaboration with our Deployment leadership, Country Managers, and the founding team to achieve critical commercial objectives. This includes meticulously identifying prospective clients, effectively opening doors to new opportunities, rigorously qualifying genuine prospects, accurately scoping the technical feasibility of projects, and diligently moving these opportunities forward towards successful live deployments.
  • The designation of "Account Manager" is intentional, reflecting the integrated nature of our operations in construction. "Sales" in this context is only effective when go-to-market strategies, operational capabilities, and delivery execution are seamlessly aligned. Your role will involve a significant amount of time spent on calls, conducting site visits, and engaging in internal coordination with our forward-deployed engineers. This immersive experience will provide you with a profound understanding of how construction projects are genuinely sold, the intricacies of decision-making processes within the industry, and the precise integration of our technology into real-world projects.
  • Key responsibilities will encompass proactive pipeline generation through the identification, research, and targeted approach of relevant general contractors, subcontractors, developers, and key project stakeholders across both the Netherlands and international markets. You will execute outbound strategies with precision, crafting and delivering informed, relevant, and credible outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone, eschewing generic "spray-and-pray" tactics.
  • A crucial aspect of your role will be opportunity qualification, where you will lead initial calls and meetings, ask pertinent questions to ascertain project viability and worthiness, and assess technical feasibility. Maintaining CRM and deal hygiene is paramount, ensuring our pipeline remains clean, structured, and current, with a keen eye on identifying deal blockages and follow-up requirements.
  • You will also be responsible for generating proposals, owning the preparation of proposal documents, scoping agreements, and managing follow-ups in conjunction with Country Managers and Deployment leads. Furthermore, you will contribute vital market intelligence by developing a deep understanding of construction project tendering processes, decision-making frameworks, and common objections, feeding this valuable insight back into our commercial strategy. Finally, you will gain invaluable on-site exposure by visiting deployments and customer sites to grasp the practical realities of our offerings and to speak with genuine credibility.
