  • • As an Account Manager for Motorola Solutions, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and fostering strategic relationships within the public safety sector in Eastern North Carolina. This pivotal role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales plans for a designated territory, encompassing city, county, and state agencies. You will be responsible for the entire Motorola Solutions portfolio, from core land mobile radio products to emerging technologies, ensuring our clients are equipped with the most advanced solutions to enhance public safety.
  • • Your primary objective will be to serve as a trusted advisor, deeply understanding the unique needs and challenges of public safety organizations. This involves building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including Sheriffs, Mayors, CIOs, Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, and other critical officials. By understanding their technology roadmaps and funding priorities, you will proactively identify and cultivate large project opportunities that leverage Motorola Solutions' extensive range of products and services.
  • • A key aspect of this role is the ability to assemble and lead diverse teams of internal and external sales resources. You will orchestrate efforts to assess customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure seamless delivery and support. This collaborative approach is essential for addressing complex customer requirements and positioning Motorola Solutions as the preferred partner for their critical communication needs.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic account plans for each target account and geographical area. This includes identifying key buying centers and developing strategies to influence technology platform decisions, thereby fostering customer loyalty and preference for Motorola Solutions. Your expertise will extend to proactively engaging and leading channel partners, where appropriate, to effectively reach and serve customers.
  • • A significant part of your responsibility will be to proactively engage Motorola executive sponsors, building strategic relationships that position the company for long-term success and identify future opportunities. Furthermore, you will be tasked with developing robust Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions, designed to be leveraged across entire target accounts, streamlining the acquisition process for our clients.
  • • This role demands a proactive, self-starter mentality, with a strong emphasis on hunting for and creating new sales opportunities. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be adept at delivering compelling presentations that articulate the value of Motorola Solutions' offerings. The ability to quickly learn and convey the key characteristics and benefits of new products and solutions is paramount.
  • • Success in this position hinges on your ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, establishing yourself as a credible and indispensable advisor. Your negotiation skills will be crucial in securing favorable outcomes for both Motorola Solutions and our clients. You will also be expected to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices within the public safety sector, bringing valuable insights to your clients and your sales strategies.
  • • The role requires a high degree of motivation and a results-oriented approach, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Experience in high-tech solutions sales, particularly within Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and experience utilizing channel partners to meet customer requirements, are highly advantageous.
