- • Lead and manage the monthly enterprise-wide cash reconciliation process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items in alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
- • Oversee reconciliation of high-volume cash activity including Accounts Payable disbursements, premium billing and cash receipts, and claims payments with related clearing accounts.
- • Establish and maintain strong governance over balance sheet accounts, including monitoring aged reconciling items and enforcing escalation protocols to mitigate financial risk.
- • Lead cross-functional initiatives impacting cash flow and reconciliation processes by partnering with Accounts Payable, Billing, Claims, Treasury, and IT departments.
- • Identify, design, and implement process improvements focused on automation, standardization, and system enhancements to reduce manual effort, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
- • Ensure full compliance with internal controls, Model Audit Rule (MAR) requirements, and audit readiness standards across all cash reconciliation activities.
- • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and key performance indicators to provide real-time visibility into reconciliation status, exceptions, and critical cash metrics.
- • Manage, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals; set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and drive accountability for team deliverables.
- • Support strategic enterprise projects related to cash operations, including system implementations, integrations, and policy updates impacting financial reporting.
- • Manage Unclaimed Property compliance activities and provide reporting and support for ASO (Administrative Services Only) customers.
- • Report directly to the AVP, Financial Reporting, and serve as a key leader in the financial reporting function with accountability for cash-related balance sheet integrity.
- • Operate in a remote nationwide capacity with occasional travel required to Humana offices for training, meetings, or team alignment sessions.
- • Work a standard 40-hour weekly schedule with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan tied to company and/or individual performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree
- • 6 or more years of accounting compliance experience
- • 2 or more years of management experience
- • Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- • Experience leading process improvements and large-scale projects
- • Progressive financial and accounting analysis experience
