- • In this exciting role, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as HuggingFace, OpenAI APIs, and Rivet to develop and implement state-of-the-art AI models and intelligent systems. Your work will focus on extracting structured insights from complex legal documents and powering innovative product features used by leading legal teams worldwide.
- • You will be instrumental in building and tuning sophisticated models and AI capabilities designed to ingest legal documents, accurately extract key information, and deliver actionable insights directly to our customers. This involves a deep dive into the nuances of legal language and contract structures.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will involve implementing robust backend services that form the backbone of our document understanding, classification, and natural language search functionalities. These services are critical for enabling users to quickly find and utilize information within their contracts.
- • You will have the opportunity to explore and apply the latest advancements in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Model (LLM) integration, Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering, and semantic search. Your contributions will directly advance Ironclad’s ambitious AI/ML vision and maintain our competitive edge.
- • Design, develop, and maintain resilient and scalable systems for comprehensive prompt management, efficient model training and tuning, seamless orchestration, rigorous evaluation, and high-performance inference. A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring these systems are scalable, reliable, and observable in production environments.
- • You will be at the forefront of developing and scaling advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and agent-based orchestration frameworks. These systems are designed to handle complex legal workflows and provide intelligent automation.
- • Contribute significantly to building and enhancing our foundational AI/ML infrastructure. This includes developing and refining tools for experimentation, model versioning, and sophisticated online/offline performance monitoring, ensuring a smooth and efficient development lifecycle.
- • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, user-facing AI experiences. Your work will directly impact the value delivered through our APIs and intelligent product features.
- • As part of Ironclad's end-to-end ownership model, you will actively contribute to our MLOps stack. This ensures that our AI models are not only developed effectively but are also scalable, reliable, and performant when deployed in production, meeting the demands of our global user base.

🎯 Requirements
- • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- • Proven experience working with large language models (e.g., GPT, Claude) or building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- • Hands-on experience with embedding models and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma).
- • Demonstrated experience in training, evaluating, and serving machine learning models in a production environment.
- • Proficiency in Python, backend service development, and building RESTful APIs.
- • Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques such as text classification, entity extraction, document understanding, or question answering.
- • Familiarity with AI frameworks and APIs like PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, OpenAI, or LangChain.
- • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
- • Solid understanding of Git or other version control systems.
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
