đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Lead AI Engineer at Ensemble Health Partners, you will play a pivotal role in transforming healthcare by designing and implementing advanced AI and machine learning solutions that reduce administrative complexity, lower costs, and improve patient outcomes across a nationwide client base of health systems and physician groups.
  • • Your work will directly support Ensemble’s O.N.E Purpose—Customer Obsession, Embracing New Ideas, and Striving for Excellence—by leveraging generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and predictive analytics to solve complex revenue cycle challenges and enable healthcare providers to focus more on patient care.
  • • Day to day, you will design and develop AI algorithms and systems for clinical applications, evaluate and deploy models using multimodal datasets, and apply deep learning, neural networks, and ML techniques to generate actionable insights that drive operational and clinical decision-making.
  • • You will automate AI workflows, build scalable infrastructure for model training and deployment, and establish MLOps practices using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and reliability of AI solutions across the enterprise.
  • • Collaboration is central: you will partner closely with data scientists, product analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, conduct code reviews, and foster innovation through experimentation and knowledge sharing.
  • • You will stay current with emerging AI technologies, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, vector databases, and LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Azure AI Studio), integrating them into production systems to enhance model performance and usability.
  • • Ensemble Health Partners is a mission-driven leader in healthcare technology, investing over $70 million annually in R&D, holding 11 technology patents, and deploying over 5,500 AI models—backed by former Google and Meta engineers and recognized with multiple industry awards for innovation, workplace excellence, and revenue cycle leadership.
  • • In this role, you will grow your expertise in cutting-edge AI applications within healthcare, contribute to patentable innovations, and help shape the future of revenue cycle management while working in a flexible, remote-first environment that values purpose, growth, and human-centered impact.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing AI/ML machine learning solutions in production environments
  • • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • • 3+ years of experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or equivalent tools
  • • Proficiency in MLOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including model deployment, monitoring, and pipeline automation
  • • Strong software engineering fundamentals: experience with CI/CD, unit/integration testing, code reviews, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • • Familiarity with LLM-enabled tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Azure AI Studio), vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques
  • • Solid database skills (SQL, Azure Data Factory) and/or experience with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced teams
  • • Willingness to travel as needed to client sites, corporate offices, or temporary locations to support solution implementation

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Comprehensive benefits package supporting physical, emotional, and financial health, including medical, dental, vision, time off, retirement plans, and well-being programs
  • • Tuition reimbursement and support for earning professional certifications relevant to your field, fostering continuous learning and career growth
  • • Quarterly and annual incentive programs that recognize and reward high performance and innovation
  • • Remote-first work model with flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S., combined with a culture that prioritizes work-life balance and employee well-being
  • • Access to cutting-edge AI resources, including proprietary EIQ technology and opportunities to contribute to patented innovations in healthcare AI
