Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an AI Engineer in the Developer Ecosystem at StackOne Inc., you will be a hands-on builder shaping the future of agentic integrations by creating production-grade AI agents, tools, and reference implementations that demonstrate the power and reliability of the StackOne platform. This role is critical to accelerating developer adoption by turning complex integration capabilities into tangible, code-first examples that engineers can trust and extend.
- • You will spend your days building and shipping real-world agent applications — including demo apps, MCP servers, Claude skills, LangGraph workflows, and sandboxed test harnesses — while actively improving the developer experience by identifying friction in APIs and SDKs, proposing fixes, and implementing them directly. Your work will involve designing and running rigorous evaluations to benchmark tool-calling quality, agent reliability, and context optimization strategies, then publishing insights through technical blogs, talks, and open-source contributions.
- • You will engage with the broader AI engineering community by running workshops, speaking at conferences, hosting office hours, and participating in Discords and GitHub discussions, positioning yourself as a trusted technical voice who builds in public and shares actionable knowledge.
- • Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will transform upcoming releases into working demos before public announcements, ensuring that new features are not only documented but demonstrably useful and production-ready.
- • Through this role, you will deepen your expertise in cutting-edge agentic architectures — including MCP, A2A protocols, RLMF, auto-research loops, sandbox isolation, and multi-agent orchestration — while contributing to the evolution of AI safety, observability, and enterprise-grade integration patterns.
- • You will have the opportunity to publish original research adjacent to your engineering work, influence the direction of StackOne’s SDKs and documentation, and establish yourself as a leading practitioner in the emerging field of agentic systems engineering.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven ability to ship production-grade AI agents, tools, or integrations using TypeScript and/or Python
- • Deep fluency in MCP (Model Context Protocol) and tool-calling patterns, with hands-on experience building plugins, skills, or agents for real-world usage
- • Experience designing and implementing evaluations, benchmarks, and sandboxed test harnesses for agentic systems, including context optimization and reliability measurement
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to build in public and shape the future of AI agent ecosystems with direct impact on developer adoption
- • Access to a cutting-edge platform connecting agents to 200+ enterprise systems with 25,000+ pre-mapped actions
- • Backed by GV and Workday Ventures ($24M raised), offering stability and resources to innovate at the forefront of agentic AI
Skills & Technologies
About StackOne Inc.
StackOne provides a unified API that lets software companies integrate with multiple HR, payroll, ATS, LMS and other workforce platforms through a single interface. Instead of building and maintaining separate integrations, developers authenticate once and read or write data across systems like Workday, BambooHR, Greenhouse, SAP SuccessFactors and more using normalized data models. The platform handles token refresh, rate limits, permissions and compliance, so teams can launch integrations faster and keep them current without ongoing maintenance. Headquartered in San Francisco, StackOne serves SaaS vendors that embed workforce connectivity into their own products.
