- • As an AI Engineer, Email CRM at Future plc, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the company delivers personalized content at scale by enhancing its proprietary AI recommendation engine, Advisor, to ensure every email sent—whether newsletter or marketing trigger—is hyper-relevant to individual user interests and behaviors, directly impacting engagement and revenue.
- • You will collaborate closely with Full Stack Developers and Data Engineers to bridge the gap between the Single Customer View (SCV) data pipeline and real-time email content generation, enabling scalable 'Next Best Action' decision-making that powers personalized customer journeys across Future’s 200+ media brands.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, training, and deploying machine learning models—particularly recommender systems using collaborative and content-based filtering—to optimize email content selection and timing based on user behavior, preferences, and engagement history.
- • You will develop and maintain performant APIs (using FastAPI or Flask) to serve ML models in real time during email assembly, ensuring low-latency inference that integrates seamlessly with existing marketing automation workflows.
- • You will work with large-scale datasets using tools like Pandas, NumPy, and BigQuery to extract, clean, and engineer features that feed into your models, ensuring data quality and relevance for accurate personalization.
- • You will monitor model performance in production, tracking key marketing KPIs such as Open Rate, Click-Through Rate (CTR), and Conversion Rate, and iterate on models to continuously improve AI-driven email effectiveness.
- • You will stay current with advancements in MLops, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure), and MarTech trends, contributing to the evolution of Future’s AI-powered email strategy as part of a forward-thinking Technology & Engineering team.
- • The Technology & Engineering department at Future fosters a collaborative, collegiate environment where innovation is encouraged, and engineers are empowered to solve complex problems that impact both product and commercial outcomes across a global media leader.
- • Future plc is a global leader in specialist media with over 3,000 employees and 200+ media brands, reaching audiences through trusted expert content across websites, magazines, events, newsletters, podcasts, and social platforms—giving your work broad impact and visibility.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in applying AI to real-world marketing challenges, bridging the gap between data science and customer engagement, while developing leadership potential in AI-driven personalization at scale within a fast-growing, innovative organization.
- • You will have the opportunity to shape the future of email marketing at a company that values experimentation, inclusivity, and technical excellence, with clear pathways to grow into senior AI/ML or engineering leadership roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expert-level Python proficiency with hands-on experience in data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning model development using Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- • Proven background in building and deploying recommender systems or personalization engines, including collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, or hybrid approaches.
- • Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including experience querying and feature-engineering from large-scale data warehouses such as BigQuery.
- • Ability to design, develop, and deploy performant ML APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask for real-time inference in production environments.
- • Familiarity with marketing KPIs (Open Rate, CTR, Conversion) and how AI/ML can directly influence and optimize them in email CRM contexts.
- • Practical experience deploying and managing machine learning services on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including containerization, monitoring, and scaling.
