- • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies for e-commerce, DTC, and consumer brands, aligned with client business objectives across traditional and AI-powered search environments.
- • Conduct keyword research, site audits, and competitor analyses to identify growth opportunities in both traditional search engines and LLM-powered platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini.
- • Optimize client content and digital properties for visibility and citation within generative AI search engines, increasing how often and how favorably brands are referenced in AI-generated answers.
- • Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics including rankings, organic traffic, and AI citation frequency, adjusting tactics based on data-driven insights.
- • Build and maintain frameworks for tracking "AI share of voice" across generative search platforms to measure brand presence in AI responses.
- • Perform on-page and technical SEO optimizations including meta tags, structured data, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, and schema markup to enhance machine readability and AI citation potential.
- • Architect technical SEO strategies focused on knowledge graphs and entity-based optimization to maximize visibility in both traditional and AI search systems.
- • Collaborate with content teams to create content strategies that simultaneously rank in traditional search and are selected as authoritative sources by LLMs.
- • Build and manage link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority and improve AI discoverability of client brands.
- • Identify and secure high-value external partnerships, guest posting placements, and industry directory listings to strengthen online reputation and authority signals.
- • Create and oversee content briefs, perform QA on content deliverables, and ensure premium quality outputs across all SEO-driven content.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams including Content, Creative, Paid Media, Marketplaces, and Retention to deliver integrated organic growth campaigns.
- • Present complex SEO and GEO insights to clients and internal stakeholders in clear, accessible language with actionable recommendations.
- • Support the Associate Director of AI Marketing in developing proprietary methodologies, playbooks, and reporting frameworks for AI marketing services.
- • Foster a culture of continuous learning by sharing AI search best practices and emerging trends across the broader Darkroom organization.
- • Stay ahead of rapidly evolving search engine algorithms and emerging AI search platforms, translating changes into actionable client strategies.
- • Maintain and monitor backlink profiles to ensure strong online reputation and compliance with SEO best practices.
- • Engage in experimentation with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), LLM-SEO, and AI search tactics to define new industry standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4 years of experience managing SEO strategies for e-commerce, consumer, or digital-first brands.
- • Proven track record in driving organic traffic growth, keyword ranking improvements, and ROI-focused SEO campaigns.
- • Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or Moz.
- • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights and client-ready reports.
- • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- • Deep understanding of on-page SEO, link-building, technical SEO, and structured data best practices.
