• • As an AI Platform Engineer, Security at Brainco, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and implementing robust security measures for our cutting-edge AI platform. This platform is designed to power mission-critical workflows for some of the world's most important institutions, operating within high-stakes, highly regulated environments where security is not merely an add-on, but a fundamental product requirement. Your expertise will be instrumental in building the security foundations that safeguard our AI systems deployed across government, energy, and healthcare sectors.
• • You will be a key contributor to our Platform organization, working collaboratively with Infrastructure, AI/ML, and Product Engineering teams. Your primary focus will be to embed security principles and practices into the entire lifecycle of our systems – from initial design and development through to deployment and ongoing operation. This proactive approach ensures that security is inherent in our platform, rather than an afterthought.
• • A significant part of your role will involve designing and building the core security pillars of our AI platform. This includes establishing strong identity management, implementing robust isolation mechanisms, and defining granular access control policies. You will be responsible for ensuring that only authorized entities can access and interact with our AI systems and data, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• • You will deeply integrate security into our cloud infrastructure, leveraging best practices for services like AWS, Azure, or GCP. This includes securing compute, storage, and networking resources, as well as implementing secure configurations for our Kubernetes clusters. Your work will ensure that our underlying infrastructure is resilient against a wide range of threats.
• • A crucial aspect of your contribution will be the development of deployment workflows that are inherently secure. You will work on creating automated pipelines and tools that embed security checks and validations, ensuring that code and configurations meet stringent security standards before being deployed to production environments.
• • You will be instrumental in creating "paved roads" and "guardrails" for our engineering teams. This means developing standardized, secure patterns and best practices that enable developers to build and deploy AI applications rapidly and safely. By providing clear guidelines and automated enforcement, you will empower teams to innovate without compromising security.
• • You will own the critical areas of auditability, detection, and incident readiness. This involves designing and implementing comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions to track system activity, detect suspicious behavior, and generate alerts. You will also be responsible for developing and refining our incident response plans, ensuring that we are prepared to effectively handle and mitigate any security breaches.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring our platform meets the rigorous compliance requirements of the sectors we serve. This includes understanding relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP) and translating them into technical controls and processes within our AI platform.
• • You will be involved in threat modeling exercises, proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities and attack vectors across our AI systems and infrastructure. Based on these models, you will design and implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate risks.
