📋 Description

• Own end-to-end AI-powered product features from ideation to production, leveraging real customer data from PostHog’s platform to build autonomous agents that transform software development workflows.
• Build and ship full-stack AI applications that integrate LLMs into core product functionality, including backend infrastructure, frontend UX, and agent orchestration layers.
• Collaborate directly with the PostHog AI team to implement AI features across products, focusing on observability, evaluation, and performance tracking of AI agents in live environments.
• Originate product ideas based on user intuition and company strategy, validate them through real user feedback, and iterate rapidly on MVPs shipped to production.
• Design and implement basic UX using PostHog’s design system; collaborate with the design team only when necessary to polish experiences, maintaining ownership of the entire feature lifecycle.
• Engage directly with users by reviewing feedback, answering support tickets, and resolving issues as the weekly Support Hero for your product team, ensuring real-time improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations to monitor and respond to production incidents, maintaining reliability and performance of AI features deployed to 450,000+ organizations.
• Document features you build, providing the initial technical and user-facing documentation that the content team will later refine and polish.
• Work in a fully async, remote-first environment with meeting-free Tuesdays and Thursdays to maximize deep work and shipping velocity.
• Operate with full autonomy: choose what to build based on impact and personal motivation, without top-down directives, and lead product decisions as part of an engineering-led team.
• Build in the open by shipping features to a global community of open-source product engineers who provide immediate, real-world feedback.
• Contribute to a culture of radical transparency by accessing company-wide data including revenue, board notes, fundraising plans, and roadmap decisions.
• Embrace a ‘weird’ product philosophy: ship unconventional, high-impact tools—even if they lack obvious shareholder value—because creativity drives competitive advantage.
• Work with a tech stack including Python, React, and big data systems, integrating with PostHog’s built-in data warehouse and custom SQL insights to power AI functionality.
• Focus on building background agents embedded in engineering workflows, not side copilots, to fundamentally change how software is built and observed.
• Measure and improve AI system quality by developing analytics layers that cluster agent behaviors, track model performance, and surface actionable insights for teams.
• Prioritize shipping speed over perfect coordination: use PRs > Issues > Slack, and ship daily without waiting for approvals or meetings.
• Contribute to a company that raises capital to accelerate ambition, not to stay afloat, with $180M+ in funding backing long-term, high-risk innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• Full-stack experience with relevant technologies (e.g., Python, React, or similar)
• Prior experience in AI workflow automation, copilots, or autonomous agent products
• Ability to choose pragmatic architectures, ship quickly, and iterate based on real feedback
• Strong sense for UX and product polish
• Excellent communicator who thrives on collaboration across teams
• Ability to own products and features from beginning to end, including user feedback, pricing, and ongoing success
