• • This is a hands-on engineering role where you will not just write code to spec, but actively shape product development, influence technical decisions, and drive innovation from ideation to production.
• • You will be instrumental in creating new AI-powered products and features designed to enhance customer efficiency or unlock new revenue opportunities for our specialized industry clients.
• • Leverage established customer relationships, deep industry expertise, existing infrastructure, and validated revenue streams from Valsoft's portfolio companies as a unique advantage, allowing you to build and iterate without starting from scratch.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to rapidly prototype AI-powered products and features, taking a concept from your Ventures Lead and delivering a functional, demoable solution within an aggressive 2-3 day timeframe.
• • You will own the end-to-end development process for these prototypes, encompassing frontend, backend, API integrations, and database setup – whatever is necessary to get a working product in front of a customer quickly.
• • Integrate cutting-edge AI model APIs from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and Azure, and construct sophisticated agentic workflows utilizing function calling, tool use, and advanced orchestration frameworks.
• • Develop and implement robust Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, grounding AI models in domain-specific customer data through the strategic use of vector databases and embedding models.
• • Collaborate closely with the R&D teams of our portfolio companies to transition successful prototypes into production-ready solutions, ensuring seamless integration with their existing architectures, standards, and infrastructure.
• • Actively participate in customer demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POCs) alongside your Ventures Lead, providing essential technical depth and adeptly addressing implementation-related inquiries.
