📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver production-grade AI systems that power BJAK’s mission to make insurance and finance simpler, smarter, and more inclusive for millions across Southeast Asia. You will own the full ML lifecycle—from raw data to live, user-facing models—ensuring every line of code translates into measurable impact on customer experience, fraud prevention, and operational efficiency.
• • Partner daily with product managers, data scientists, and backend engineers to translate business goals into clear, testable ML objectives. You will co-create technical roadmaps, define success metrics, and rapidly iterate on prototypes that evolve into scalable services serving real-time predictions at scale.
• • Design, train, and fine-tune models for personalization, recommendation, fraud detection, and automated underwriting. You’ll experiment with cutting-edge techniques in NLP, tabular data, and time-series forecasting, then productionize the best ideas using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn on cloud GPUs.
• • Build robust data pipelines that ingest, clean, and enrich terabytes of structured and unstructured data from web, mobile, and partner APIs. You will engineer features that capture user intent, risk signals, and market dynamics, ensuring high-quality inputs for both offline training and online inference.
• • Establish MLOps best practices: containerize models with Docker, automate training and deployment via CI/CD, monitor drift and performance in production, and roll back gracefully when needed. You will create reusable libraries, notebooks, and dashboards that empower teammates to reproduce results and ship faster.
• • Integrate model outputs seamlessly into user journeys—think personalized policy suggestions in the mobile app, real-time fraud alerts in the admin console, or dynamic pricing engines behind partner APIs. You will write clean, testable Python services that expose RESTful endpoints and scale horizontally on Kubernetes.
• • Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous learning. Run A/B tests, share findings in weekly tech talks, and stay ahead of emerging AI research. You will mentor junior engineers, review pull requests, and contribute to our internal wiki so knowledge compounds across the organization.
• • Navigate the fast-moving startup environment with composure and curiosity. When priorities shift or data surprises you, you’ll debug, re-prioritize, and ship fixes the same day. Your resilience and bias for action will set the tone for the entire engineering org.
• • Collaborate across time zones with colleagues in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. You’ll balance synchronous stand-ups with asynchronous documentation, ensuring smooth hand-offs and 24-hour development velocity without burning out.
• • Measure what matters: track model accuracy, latency, cost per prediction, and business KPIs like conversion uplift and claim fraud savings. You will present concise, data-driven updates to leadership and translate technical wins into stories that inspire the broader team.
