• Join G2i Inc. as an AI Software Engineer, specializing in Code Evaluation & Training, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence in software development.
• This is a unique opportunity to leverage your deep understanding of programming languages, particularly Ruby, to train and refine large language models (LLMs) capable of generating production-grade code.
• Your primary responsibility will be to act as an expert human evaluator, providing critical feedback and guidance to AI models, enabling them to learn and emulate the sophisticated code writing and refinement processes of experienced engineers.
• You will be instrumental in the Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) pipeline, a cutting-edge technique used to align AI behavior with human preferences and expertise.
• A key aspect of your role involves comparing and ranking multiple code snippets generated by AI. This requires not only identifying functional correctness but also assessing efficiency, style, adherence to best practices, and potential security vulnerabilities.
• You will articulate clear, concise, and well-reasoned explanations for your rankings, detailing why one code snippet is superior to another. This analytical and communicative skill is paramount to the success of the AI training process.
• Beyond evaluation, you will actively participate in repairing and refactoring AI-generated code. This involves correcting errors, optimizing performance, and ensuring the code adheres to high standards of readability and maintainability.
• Your feedback will be directly injected into the RLHF pipeline. This includes providing ratings, making edits, and interpreting test results to guide the model's learning trajectory.
• You will help maintain the smooth operation of the RLHF pipeline, ensuring that the feedback loop between human experts and the AI model is efficient and effective.
• The ultimate goal is to enable the AI model to not only propose code but also to critically evaluate, improve, and ultimately produce code that is ready for production deployment, mirroring the capabilities of seasoned software engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in Ruby.
• Strong code-review instincts, with the ability to quickly identify logic errors, performance traps, and security issues.
• Extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts and comparisons.
• Enjoyment of reading documentation and language specifications, coupled with a thriving attitude in asynchronous, low-oversight environments.
• Constraint programming experience is a bonus, but not required.
