- • As an AI Workflow Engineer in Marketing Innovation at OpenAI, you will bridge cutting-edge AI capabilities with real-world marketing and go-to-market challenges, building systems that amplify the effectiveness, speed, and creativity of marketing teams through intelligent automation and human-AI collaboration.
- • Your work will directly impact how OpenAI markets its products by designing and deploying AI-native workflows that improve content generation, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, and revenue programs, ensuring AI operates safely and effectively at scale.
- • You will identify high-impact opportunities where AI can transform ambiguous marketing problems into production-ready systems, driving end-to-end execution from prototype to deployment while establishing reusable patterns and guardrails for broader adoption.
- • Day to day, you will collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to scope opportunities, design workflows combining AI agents, tools, and human review, and rapidly prototype solutions using OpenAI’s API platform, Codex, and automation frameworks.
- • You will build and maintain centrally managed 'golden workflows' that support critical marketing initiatives, creating reusable templates, tooling, and documentation that enable teams to self-serve safely and effectively over time.
- • Through hands-on training, pair programming, and direct collaboration with operators, you will help marketing teams adopt frontier AI capabilities, translating business needs into technical solutions and clearly communicating tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
- • You will work within a product engineering team embedded in OpenAI’s Demand Generation and Marketing organization, where innovation is driven by the intersection of applied AI, product design, and deep integration with marketing systems like CRM, analytics, and campaign infrastructure.
- • The team focuses on solving problems that go beyond traditional automation—requiring strong product thinking, frontier AI application, and close partnership with end users to build systems that are both powerful and practical.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in AI-native product development, learning how to apply large language models and agent-based systems to real business workflows while gaining experience in internal tooling, automation at scale, and cross-functional leadership in ambiguous environments.
- • You will achieve tangible impact by shipping systems used daily by marketing operators, establishing best practices for human-AI collaboration, and contributing to OpenAI’s mission of ensuring AI benefits all of humanity through responsible, innovative deployment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience building systems integrations, automation workflows, internal tools, or product systems
- • Experience working with APIs, automation frameworks, or lightweight scripting environments
- • Experience deploying systems used by operators in production environments
- • Familiarity with marketing or GTM systems (CRM, lifecycle tooling, analytics, creative tooling, or campaign infrastructure) or strong motivation to learn
- • Hands-on experimentation with AI-native development tools such as Codex or similar coding agents
