- • As an Algorithm Scientist at Oura Health Ltd., you will develop and validate the next generation of health sensing algorithms that power the Oura Ring’s features, directly impacting millions of users worldwide by enabling deeper insights into readiness, activity, and sleep quality.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include contributing to the research, development, and deployment of signal processing and machine learning algorithms across multiple sensing modalities; supporting early-stage exploratory research to identify new biomarkers; designing and executing data collection studies to evaluate algorithm performance; developing scalable data analysis tools; presenting results with actionable recommendations to technical and cross-functional stakeholders; supporting feasibility studies for new sensing modalities; and collaborating with global teams to drive innovation.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, machine learning, or a related field
- • Proficiency in Python, including experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD practices
- • Hands-on experience with signal processing and time-series analysis using real-world biosignals from wearable devices or hardware prototypes
- • Good understanding of human physiology and ability to apply engineering intuition to complex, noisy biosignals
- • Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in a STEM field (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics) or equivalent work experience
- • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
