• • The Anaplan Technical Lead will own and evolve the connected planning backbone that underpins M-KOPA’s rapid growth across Africa, shaping financial decisions that impact millions of customers accessing formal financial services for the first time.
• • Day to day, the role involves designing scalable Anaplan model architecture across Data Hub and spoke models, driving ALM practices, leading end-to-end implementations, optimizing model performance, managing data integrations via CloudWorks and APIs, and mentoring a team of model builders while acting as the primary escalation point for business-critical issues.
• • M-KOPA is a mission-driven African fintech that has unlocked over $2 billion in credit for 7+ million customers, with 86% reporting improved quality of life and 70% using financed products to generate income; the company is recognized by the Financial Times and TIME100 for its rapid growth and global influence.
• • In this role, the individual will architect a planning ecosystem that supports continent-scale growth, lead a Center of Excellence to raise modeling standards, and see their technical decisions directly influence budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives that fund new markets and drive financial inclusion across Africa.
