  • • Own and drive the full sales cycle for high-value strategic accounts headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region, converting high-intent leads into signed contracts and exceeding personal revenue targets.
  • • Act as the first APAC sales hire, building the regional commercial team from the ground up by recruiting, onboarding, and coaching the initial wave of Account Executives (AEs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs).
  • • Define and execute the APAC territory strategy, establishing operational processes and a scalable regional hub that will evolve into a full regional office.
  • • Serve as the primary face of Paddle in APAC, traveling frequently across sub-regions to meet with founders, CTOs, CFOs, and other C-suite executives to close complex, multi-threaded deals.
  • • Represent Paddle at major industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and credibility within the APAC SaaS, AI, and Mobile App ecosystems.
  • • Identify and prioritize high-fit Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) in the APAC region, focusing on B2B SaaS, AI, and Mobile App studios while navigating regional market nuances and avoiding low-potential segments.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Marketing teams to align regional product capabilities with local market demands and co-create localized go-to-market strategies and event campaigns.
  • • Act as a consultative seller, articulating Paddle’s value proposition to technical and financial stakeholders by connecting Paddle’s Merchant of Record solution to their global expansion goals, compliance needs, and payment infrastructure challenges.
  • • Navigate complex procurement processes and procurement hurdles common in APAC enterprise environments, ensuring smooth contract execution and customer onboarding.
  • • Build and maintain deep knowledge of APAC’s software landscape, including regional buyer behaviors, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics to inform sales tactics and territory planning.
  • • Balance a 70/30 time split in the initial phase between direct revenue generation and team-building activities, adapting the ratio as the regional team grows and scales.
  • • Establish metrics, pipelines, and forecasting rigor for the APAC sales function, ensuring data-driven decision-making from day one.
  • • Develop and refine the APAC sales playbook, including scripts, objection handling, pricing strategies, and negotiation frameworks tailored to regional buyers.
  • • Leverage Paddle’s existing customer base and market traction in APAC to accelerate new customer acquisition and expand relationships with current regional users.
  • • Operate with entrepreneurial autonomy, creating structure and processes where none exist, while maintaining a hands-on approach to closing deals and mentoring early team members.
  • • Act as a cultural ambassador for Paddle, embedding the company’s values into the fabric of the nascent APAC team and shaping its long-term identity.
  • • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure regional sales activities adhere to local regulations and global standards, especially around tax, billing, and data governance.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of Paddle’s product offering as a Merchant of Record—handling global payments, tax, and compliance on behalf of software sellers—to confidently articulate value to enterprise buyers.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Extensive experience managing multi-threaded, high-contract-value sales within the SaaS or Payments industry
  • • Proven track record of not only hitting personal revenue targets but also mentoring or managing sales teams in a scaling environment
  • • Deep knowledge of the APAC software landscape and ability to sell effectively across different sub-regions
  • • Technical and financial fluency to sell to CTOs, CFOs, and founders, bridging business value with technical implementation
  • • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience thriving in early-stage, fast-growing companies where you build the playbook while executing it
