  • • As an Application Developer II at CareSource Management Group Company, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and ongoing analysis of software programs and applications. This position is integral to the TRICARE Prime® Demo by CareSource Military & Veterans initiative, focusing on enhancing healthcare access and prioritizing the unique needs of the military community. We strongly encourage individuals with military affiliation, veterans, military spouses, and those with prior TRICARE experience to apply, as your unique insights will be invaluable.
  • • Your core responsibilities will involve the entire software development lifecycle, from initial research and design through coding, rigorous testing, and analysis, ensuring that all software modifications and enhancements are seamlessly integrated throughout the production lifecycle. You will be tasked with translating complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring that the delivered software not only meets but exceeds expectations.
  • • A significant part of your role will include running and monitoring performance tests on both new and existing software. This critical process allows for the identification and correction of errors, the isolation of areas ripe for improvement, and general debugging to ensure optimal application performance and stability.
  • • You will be expected to perform critical analysis of test results, identifying root causes of issues and developing effective solutions to address problem areas. This analytical approach is key to maintaining high-quality software standards.
  • • Collaboration is essential. You will liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and fellow software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues with software products or internal company software systems, fostering a cohesive and efficient problem-solving environment.
  • • As part of a development team, you will participate in technical code reviews of your peers' work. This practice ensures adherence to proper coding methodologies, promotes knowledge sharing, and upholds the overall quality and maintainability of our codebase.
  • • You will work within an iterative approach methodology, embracing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic development landscape. This includes actively participating in the triage and resolution of incident management requests, ensuring timely and effective support for our applications.
  • • Maintaining a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and configuration management best practices is crucial for success in this role. You will contribute to setting objectives for your own job, understanding how your output impacts and influences other job areas within the department. Your contributions will provide valuable input to the development of operational area goals, operating within established boundaries and procedures with a high degree of independence.
  • • This role requires specialized job knowledge within your department, and you may also develop a working knowledge of other related job areas, fostering cross-functional understanding and collaboration. You will be expected to perform any other job duties as requested, demonstrating a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in integrated development environments and a proven track record of software troubleshooting. Familiarity with various phases of the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Waterfall methodologies, is highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, are essential for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • • You should possess a solid understanding of configuration management tools, scripting, programming languages, and automated testing toolsets. We are looking for individuals who are highly self-motivated, technically proficient, logical, and possess meticulous attention to detail. The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, working both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, is paramount. An innovative and pioneering spirit, coupled with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, will be key to driving success in this role and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software solutions.
