📋 Description

• Build and deploy full-stack AI-powered financial data pipelines using TypeScript, Node.js, and React, owning end-to-end delivery from PostgreSQL schema design to React UI components.
• Develop multi-step AI workflows involving prompt chaining, structured output parsing, confidence scoring, and failure recovery mechanisms for financial document ingestion and audit-trail logging.
• Design and implement background job infrastructure to handle long-running AI processes that power audit engagements for financial institutions.
• Create an AI output evaluation framework with structured test inputs, expected outputs, and scoring rubrics to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting outputs.
• Integrate LLMs from AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and Anthropic into production systems, diagnosing and resolving issues that arise between prompt logic and underlying infrastructure.
• Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for compliance-critical applications, applying append-only patterns and indexing strategies critical for auditability and regulatory reporting.
• Transform on-chain and off-chain crypto data from spreadsheets and ERP exports into typed, auditable data models for downstream AI processing and financial accounting workflows.
• Ship features into production systems used live during client audit engagements, where errors have real regulatory and financial consequences.
• Work autonomously with minimal process overhead, taking full ownership of technical decisions without the safety net of large teams or QA pipelines.
• Push back on specifications when technical or compliance risks are identified, advocating for correctness over speed in financial systems.
• Collaborate with the VP of Advisory Intelligence and one other engineer to define system architecture, prioritize features, and iterate on product direction with high influence.
• Maintain rigorous attention to data integrity, audit trails, and traceability in all components of the system to meet standards required by financial regulators and institutions.
• Operate in a low-structure environment where initiative, ownership, and self-direction are required to succeed—no hand-holding, no process buffers.
• Work across the entire stack: backend (Node.js, PostgreSQL), frontend (React, Next.js App Router), state management (Zustand), validation (Zod), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Contribute to the evolution of Cryptio’s AI toolkit by identifying gaps in automation, scalability, and compliance coverage within financial reporting workflows.
• Debug complex issues that span data ingestion, LLM reasoning, pipeline reliability, and UI representation, distinguishing between prompt-level failures and systemic infrastructure flaws.
• Deliver features that directly support accounting, tax filing, tokenization compliance, and loan management for enterprise clients in the crypto space.
• Maintain a relentless focus on correctness, as outputs feed into official financial records subject to external audit and regulatory scrutiny.
• Work remotely or hybrid within Canada East Coast, with full autonomy over schedule and workflow while meeting delivery deadlines for client-critical systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Shipped production full-stack TypeScript systems (not side projects) with integrated LLMs in live environments
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise: data modeling, indexing, and understanding of append-only patterns in compliance contexts
• Proven ability to debug both prompt-level and infrastructure-level failures in production AI systems
• Strong comfort working autonomously with minimal process or team structure, taking ownership of outcomes
• Willingness to prioritize correctness and auditability over speed, understanding the real-world impact of errors
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic SDKs in production AI pipelines
