- • As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Guides & Surveys team at Fullstory, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how our customers understand and enhance their digital experiences. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to tools that empower product teams to gather critical user feedback, enabling them to guide their users towards value more effectively and rapidly. You will be an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, working alongside talented engineers, product managers, and designers to solve intricate technical challenges.
- • Your responsibilities will extend beyond individual contributions; you will be expected to mentor fellow engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. A strong sense of product ownership is paramount, coupled with a genuine passion for building user-centric solutions that directly impact our customers. The drive to lead projects that transcend team boundaries and influence architectural decisions will be key to your success.
- • In this role, you will frequently take ownership of large, ambiguous problems, translating them into clear, robust, and scalable implementations. This involves not only designing solutions but also producing detailed technical designs that garner consensus on architectural changes, potentially impacting multiple teams. You will be a key collaborator, working closely with product management and design to translate complex user needs into innovative and competitive technical solutions that align with our product vision.
- • Mentoring other engineers will be a core aspect of your role. This will involve conducting thorough code reviews, providing constructive coaching, and actively contributing to the establishment and enforcement of coding standards and best practices in testing. Your leadership will extend to driving roadmap-level, cross-team projects to successful completion. This requires proactive identification of potential roadblocks and effective collaboration across different teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet their objectives.
- • You will also be instrumental in debugging complex production issues that may span across various services and multiple layers of the technical stack, ensuring the stability and reliability of our platform. Furthermore, in line with Fullstory's commitment to innovation, you will have the opportunity to leverage AI tools to enhance work quality and accelerate development timelines by implementing AI solutions that optimize efficiency and unlock new capabilities.
- • Within your first six months, you are expected to have taken ownership of a significant feature area, successfully delivering tangible value to our customers by resolving a complex, loosely-defined problem. You will become a go-to technical expert and a recognized leader within your team, actively contributing to a culture of engineering excellence. Your insights and expertise will be sought after for design reviews by other teams, demonstrating your growing influence and impact.
- • By the end of your first year, you will be effectively leading cross-team initiatives, significantly influencing the technical direction of projects and delivering successful improvements at both the team and department levels. You will have played a crucial role in onboarding new team members, become a key contributor to our interview process, and be recognized as a leader who consistently elevates the entire engineering team. This role offers a direct path to making a substantial impact on Fullstory's product and its customers, fostering innovation, and driving engineering best practices.
- • This is a full-time employment opportunity, facilitated through our Employer of Record (EOR), Rippling. This ensures that your local employment, payroll, benefits, and compliance will be administered by Rippling in accordance with the local labor laws in Colombia. The base salary for this position ranges between $90,000 - $93,000 USD, with adjustments based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus of up to 10% of base salary, contingent upon Fullstory meeting its performance targets.
