📋 Description

• As an Applied AI Engineer at Bjak Sdn. Bhd., you will turn model capabilities into real product behavior by owning problems end-to-end—from shaping model behavior to building systems around it and ensuring reliable performance in production.
• You will build and ship AI features end-to-end (model → system → user experience), design and iterate on prompts, tools, memory, and agent workflows, and turn raw model outputs into structured, reliable, and predictable behaviors.
• You will debug issues across the full stack (model, orchestration, infrastructure, UX), optimize for latency, cost, and production reliability, and develop lightweight evaluation frameworks to measure real-world performance.
• You will work closely with product and engineering teams to translate ambiguous problems into working systems, contributing to a proactive AI system that understands context across conversations and carries work forward over time.
• The role sits at the intersection of machine learning, systems, and product, focused on making AI work for users in real-world usage, not just in demos.
• You will join a small, world-class team that moves rapidly, values collective decision-making, and emphasizes shipping high-quality work while learning and iterating independently.
• Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and effectiveness of AI-powered features used by users globally, helping bring practical AI benefits to billions.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong foundation in machine learning and modern neural network architectures
• Hands-on experience with training, fine-tuning, or deploying ML models
• Ability to write clean, production-quality code
• Comfort working across abstraction layers (model → infra → product)
• Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Bias toward shipping, iteration, and continuous improvement
