- • As an Art Director at OpenAI, you will lead the creative development of marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand moments from concept to final execution, ensuring OpenAI’s story and technology are communicated through visually compelling and human-centered work.
- • You will develop and direct visual narratives that translate complex AI concepts into clear, inspiring, and elegant communication across digital, social, film, print, and experiential channels, collaborating with writers, designers, product marketers, and external vendors.
- • You will join a mission-driven creative team at OpenAI that shapes how groundbreaking AI research is shared with the world, valuing curiosity, kindness, and collaboration over ego and certainty in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- • In this role, you will elevate OpenAI’s brand presence by establishing and maintaining a high visual bar, contributing to the evolution of a scalable and distinctive brand system, and growing your impact as a strategic visual storyteller at the forefront of AI innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience as an Art Director at an in-house team or top-tier creative agency, with a portfolio demonstrating work for modern technology brands.
- • Strong background in visual design with fluency across channels including digital, social, film, print, and experiential.
- • Conceptual thinker able to ideate strategically and visually across formats and campaigns, translating abstract ideas into compelling visual narratives.
- • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and proven ability to scale ideas under tight timelines.
- • Passionate about design craft, committed to building systems and stories that elevate brand presence over time, and skilled in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, design, and product teams.
