- • The Associate Bio-Stat Research Analyst role supports internal business partners by producing recurring and ad-hoc reporting across clinical, operational, and financial domains, focusing on cost, utilization, and performance analytics using claims and authorization data.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, developing dynamic data-driven solutions, supporting consultants with business intelligence for predictive analytics, identifying performance measures (including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals), and providing supervised, actionable reports to business clients.
- • The role is part of the Health Plan and Quality Improvement Solutions team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, which works with diverse data sources and audiences such as operational finance, utilization management, care advance case management, and BlueCare.
- • The person in this role will develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills, gain experience with healthcare data (claims, authorization, case management), enhance their ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, and grow expertise in adapting to evolving tools and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Undergraduate bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 2 years of working experience, OR a Master’s or Ph.D. degree with no experience required
- • Familiarity working with data in an analytical or research capacity
- • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical mindset with ability to understand complex datasets
- • Attention to detail, exceptional documentation abilities, and organizational skills
- • Excellent oral and written communication skills
- • Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaboratively in a team
