- • Develop and maintain value-based pro forma scenario models to support provider analytics and negotiation strategies
- • Reduce manual processes through automation and standardization of modeling workflows
- • Provide hands-on analytical support for Independent Delivery Network (IDN) negotiations
- • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to align on analytic solutions and modeling approaches
- • Communicate complex actuarial findings and model outputs clearly to non-technical business stakeholders in both written and oral formats
- • Engage in model development and enhancement activities specifically tied to negotiation modeling requirements
- • Assist in modeling specific provider negotiations that require detailed analytical input and scenario analysis
- • Work remotely as a full-time Associate Actuary with a 40-hour weekly schedule
- • Participate in occasional travel to Humana offices for training sessions or in-person meetings as required
- • Apply actuarial expertise to support Humana’s mission of improving health outcomes for Medicare, Medicaid, and other insured populations
- • Ensure all modeling work adheres to actuarial standards and supports data-driven decision-making across provider contracts
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance model accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- • Support the broader Provider Analytics team in delivering actionable insights that influence contract negotiations and financial forecasting
- • Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory changes impacting value-based care models and provider reimbursement
- • Utilize analytical tools and platforms to execute modeling tasks while ensuring data integrity and reproducibility
- • Work in alignment with Humana’s commitment to whole-person well-being through accurate, transparent, and ethical actuarial practices
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree
- • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
- • MAAA (Member of the American Academy of Actuaries)
- • Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms
