  • • Lead and manage the Cooperative Purchasing business unit, driving financial performance through strategic oversight of revenue and margin goals for assigned contracts.
  • • Assist the Director in achieving P&L (Profit & Loss) targets by effectively managing the Cooperative Purchasing team, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring operational excellence.
  • • Develop and implement comprehensive annual Go-To-Market plans tailored for assigned accounts, leveraging the Agency Channel to maximize revenue generation and profitability.
  • • Create detailed revenue and expense budgets for assigned accounts, aligning financial projections with overarching revenue and margin objectives.
  • • Oversee the daily operations of assigned team members, ensuring adherence to the Cooperative Purchasing Program Document and other Solution Program Documents, while maintaining strict compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • • Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with participating agencies, positioning Sourcewell as the preferred cooperative purchasing partner through proactive engagement and exceptional service.
  • • Manage awarded contracts for assigned suppliers, ensuring successful execution and performance, and provide comprehensive training and high-touch support to these suppliers.
  • • Develop strategic business plans for each supplier within the portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth and performance enhancement.
  • • Identify potential high-performing suppliers and devise strategies to maximize their contribution to the business unit's success.
  • • Provide critical insights and feedback to the Category Development team to inform strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
  • • Collaborate closely with the Government Accounts team to address inquiries from participating agencies, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • • Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring seamless teamwork between the Cooperative Purchasing team and other internal departments.
  • • Supervise, mentor, and develop assigned staff, providing clear direction and actionable goals that align individual performance with departmental, divisional, and organizational strategies.
  • • Partner with the Director of Cooperative Purchasing to assess staffing needs, ensuring adequate headcount to support projected growth plans and operational demands.
  • • Manage the end-to-end hiring, training, and onboarding processes for the team, ensuring consistency with the practices of the Solution Development team.
  • • Embody and promote Sourcewell's core values of Seek, Empower, and Impact in all interactions with internal and external partners.
  • • Lead the team to operate with transparency, innovation, and collaboration, fostering strong relationships with both the Sourcewell team and external stakeholders.
  • • Represent the Cooperative Purchasing Department at internal events, board meetings, and retreats, acting as a key ambassador for the program.
  • • Attend and present at industry conferences, trade shows, and supplier meetings, enhancing Sourcewell's visibility and promoting cooperative purchasing opportunities.
  • • Undertake other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Cooperative Purchasing business unit and the organization.
  • • Specialize in the Park, Recreation, Athletics, Grounds, and Agriculture sectors, bringing focused expertise to contract development and supplier management within these areas.
  • • Contribute to the strategic direction and operational efficiency of a full-time, remote position, adhering to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies.
  • • Travel approximately twelve times per year to support business needs, including occasional travel to Staples, MN for essential meetings and team activities, with advance notice provided.
