Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end security design for mission-critical facilities—data centers, healthcare complexes, transportation hubs, and government installations—where a single point of failure is not an option. You will translate high-stakes requirements into fully integrated electronic security systems that protect people, data, and operations 24/7/365.
- • Lead multidisciplinary teams through every phase of the project lifecycle: from initial client discovery and threat-risk assessments, to concept design, construction administration, commissioning, and post-occupancy support. Your fingerprints will be on every drawing, specification, and calculation that keeps a building safe and compliant.
- • Serve as the primary client interface, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable decisions for C-suite executives, facility managers, architects, and contractors. You will run programming workshops, negotiate scope changes, and secure buy-in across competing stakeholder priorities.
- • Drive business growth by identifying follow-on opportunities within existing accounts and cultivating new relationships at industry events. You will co-author proposals, lead technical interviews, and negotiate Professional Services Agreements (PSAs) worth up to—and often exceeding—$500k in TEECOM fees.
- • Mentor the next generation of security engineers through TEECOMuniversity, our in-house training platform. You will design course modules, deliver live instruction, and provide one-on-one coaching that accelerates junior staff from competent to exceptional.
- • Champion continuous improvement by refining design standards, automating repetitive tasks, and codifying lessons learned into scalable processes. Your initiatives will reduce engineering change orders to 5% or less and keep project stale dates under 3%.
- • Manage project finances like a P&L owner: develop fee proposals, track budgets in real time, authorize Additional Services Agreements when scope drifts, and ensure quarterly billed-revenue targets are met while maintaining gross-margin goals.
- • Conduct rigorous quality control—reviewing Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and specifications for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability. You will sign off on every document before it leaves the door, ensuring 100% functionality upon commissioning.
- • Perform site inspections across the United States—sometimes on short notice—to verify existing conditions, witness contractor progress, and troubleshoot field issues. Your field reports will drive rapid corrective action and protect TEECOM’s reputation for flawless delivery.
- • Leverage advanced software ecosystems (G Suite, MS Office, Bluebeam Studio, Asana, Slack) to orchestrate distributed teams, maintain transparent project schedules, and keep every stakeholder aligned—even when the project accelerates from years to months.
- • Balance high-pressure deadlines with emotional intelligence: recognize when team members need support versus stretch assignments, defuse conflict before it escalates, and foster a culture where everyone feels safe to innovate and speak up.
- • Contribute to thought leadership by authoring white papers, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry working groups. Your insights will shape the future of security technology in the built environment and position TEECOM as the go-to expert.
