- • As an Associate Solutions Engineer at Primer Technologies, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to forward-thinking merchants, helping them leverage Primer’s unified payment infrastructure to build smarter, faster, and with confidence. Your role bridges technical depth and commercial impact, enabling seamless integration and strategic growth for global clients.
- • Day to day, you will work closely with the sales team to identify merchant pain points, consult on Primer’s value proposition, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders. You will lead discovery sessions, solution design workshops, product demos, and developer Q&As, while collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to inform feature enhancements based on market insights.
- • You will join a mission-driven, globally distributed team at Primer — the world’s first unified payment infrastructure, founded by former leaders of Braintree and PayPal. Backed by top-tier investors including Accel, Balderton, ICONIQ, and Tencent, Primer connects to 150+ payment services and empowers finance, payments, and engineering teams to automate the full payments lifecycle.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in payment systems and technical consulting, sharpen your ability to translate complexity into clarity, and influence product evolution through real-world merchant feedback. You’ll grow alongside a fast-scaling startup, gaining end-to-end ownership of client technical engagements and positioning yourself as a strategic advisor at the intersection of technology and commerce.
🎯 Requirements
- • Previous experience in a merchant-facing role with a complex API product, ideally in payments
- • Confidence and ease in leading discovery sessions and working with technical counterparts at large merchants
- • Strong communication and presentation skills — ability to make complicated concepts simple for technical and non-technical audiences
