📋 Description

• As an Automation Engineer on SEON’s Developer Experience (DevEx) team, you will play a critical role in eliminating manual toil and enabling engineering teams to build, test, and deploy software faster and more reliably by designing and implementing scalable automation solutions that reduce friction across complex technical workflows.
• You will partner with Platform, SRE, FinOps, and product engineering teams to transform repetitive, error-prone processes into automated, self-service capabilities—directly impacting engineering velocity, system reliability, and operational efficiency across SEON’s global infrastructure.
• Your work will focus on creating "golden path" workflows for provisioning, CI/CD, environment setup, and deployments, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance while empowering teams to adopt standardized practices with minimal overhead.
• SEON is a fast-growing fraud prevention and AML compliance leader trusted by global innovators like Revolut, Wise, and Bilt, processing 900+ real-time data signals to protect revenue and reduce risk—offering you the chance to contribute to mission-critical systems at scale.
• The DevEx team is dedicated to improving developer productivity through internal tooling, automation, and platform excellence, operating with a strong bias toward simplification, scalability, and measurable impact in a collaborative, remote-first European environment.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, AWS, and Kubernetes—positioning you at the forefront of internal platform innovation.
• You will develop leadership in automation strategy by measuring the impact of your initiatives, documenting solutions for self-service adoption, and influencing cross-team standards that elevate the entire engineering organization’s effectiveness.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, Platform, or infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong scripting and coding skills in Bash, Node.js, or Python
• Proven experience building automation tools or internal engineering tooling
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD systems
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
• Solid cloud experience with AWS, including IAM, networking, compute, and managed services
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS experience preferred)
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a bias toward simplification and scalability
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, LLM-based coding assistants) to accelerate automation and prototyping
