📋 Description

• As an AWS Platform Engineer Senior at CSG Forte, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications for global brands. Your work will directly impact system performance, availability, and security, enabling seamless digital experiences for customers and supporting CSG’s mission to empower businesses with innovative payment and engagement solutions.
• You will design and implement production-grade infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability across environments. This includes architecting VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and networking configurations aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
• You will develop and manage end-to-end CI/CD workflows using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy to automate application deployments, reduce manual intervention, and increase release velocity while maintaining strict quality and compliance gates.
• You will deploy, monitor, and optimize serverless functions using AWS Lambda, focusing on performance tuning, cold start reduction, cost efficiency, and integration with event-driven architectures such as API Gateway and SNS/SQS.
• You will administer and optimize Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL clusters for high performance, reliability, and cost efficiency, including read replica management, backup strategies, parameter tuning, and performance insights analysis.
• You will implement and oversee comprehensive monitoring and logging practices using Datadog and AWS CloudWatch, setting up custom metrics, dashboards, alerts, and log aggregation to ensure observability and rapid incident response.
• You will collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to integrate systems seamlessly, ensuring infrastructure supports microservices, APIs, and third-party integrations while maintaining robustness and scalability under varying loads.
• You will lead complex troubleshooting efforts during production incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to improve system resilience and reduce MTTR.
• You will mentor junior engineers, share knowledge through documentation and tech talks, and foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and ownership within the platform engineering team.
• You will stay current with emerging AWS services, DevOps trends, and cloud-native technologies, evaluating and recommending adoption of new tools and practices to improve infrastructure efficiency, security, and developer experience.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating equivalent technical proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in platform or DevOps engineering, with substantial focus on designing, deploying, and managing production infrastructure in AWS environments.
• Proven expertise with core AWS services including AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, including advanced configuration and optimization.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management tasks.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and extensive experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Strong grasp of cloud networking, security best practices (including IAM, VPC, encryption, and compliance), and database administration in distributed environments.
