📋 Description

• The Azure Cloud Transformation Lead will design, lead, and execute the complete transformation of the company’s technology infrastructure into a unified Azure model, ensuring security, governance, automation, and knowledge transfer to the internal team.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include remediating critical risks by implementing security controls such as MFA and IAM, closing public exposure, enabling logging and alerts; designing a secure and scalable Azure target architecture using Azure Bastion, segmented VNets, Application Gateway + WAF, and Private Endpoints; implementing DevOps/platform models with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required), configuration management (Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab); executing a progressive multi-cloud migration strategy from AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, and OVH to Azure; defining access models (RBAC), compliance policies, observability strategies, and disaster recovery plans; and training and mentoring the internal team (3 people) while documenting processes for autonomous operations.
• The role is based at Distro, Inc., a company undergoing a full-scale cloud transformation, where the lead will work hands-on to reduce risk, improve security posture, and enable scalable, automated operations in Azure.
• The person in this role will achieve mastery in enterprise Azure transformations, gain deep expertise in Terraform-driven infrastructure, lead cross-cloud migration initiatives, and develop leadership in cloud security and DevOps practices while enabling team autonomy through knowledge transfer.

🎯 Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure/cloud with proven leadership in complete technology transformations
• Official Microsoft Azure certification at Advanced/Architect level required
• Mandatory expertise in Terraform; Ansible knowledge valued
• Experience in CI/CD automation, preferably with GitLab
• Advanced knowledge in cloud networking and security: VNets, routing, firewalls, IAM, Zero Trust, and Linux hardening
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes or Azure Container Apps desirable
