We are building an innovative open-core project management platform that serves as a flexible and powerful alternative to established tools like Jira, Monday, Wrike, Asana, ClickUp, and Linear. Our mission is to provide teams with the simplest and most delightful work management experience, evolving towards becoming the WorkOS of the future. As a rapidly growing, revenue-positive startup backed by OSS Capital, we are looking for passionate individuals to contribute to our ambitious vision.
  • • In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the core infrastructure and features that power our user-centric platform. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our services, ensuring a seamless experience for our global user base. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the open-source community, setting new standards in software development practices.
  • • Key responsibilities will include:
  • • Developing robust and scalable backend systems that form the backbone of new user-centric features. This involves designing and implementing efficient code, ensuring maintainability, and adhering to best practices.
  • • Enhancing the efficiency of real-time data synchronization across our platforms. You will work on mechanisms that ensure data consistency and immediate updates for all users, regardless of their location or device.
  • • Boosting database and system performance through advanced caching techniques and connection pooling. This includes optimizing queries, managing database connections effectively, and implementing strategies to reduce latency and improve response times.
  • • Elevating our service's reliability with superior observability, monitoring, and alert systems. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining tools that provide deep insights into system health, enabling prompt incident detection and rapid response.
  • • Expanding our service's capabilities with strategic architectural and infrastructural upgrades. This may involve refactoring existing systems, introducing new technologies, or optimizing our cloud infrastructure on AWS with Kubernetes.
  • • Sharing our meaningful innovations with the open-source community. We are committed to open-source principles and encourage contributions back to the community, fostering collaboration and transparency.
  • • Setting new industry standards for software development practices, aiming to deliver unparalleled quality to the global market. This involves staying abreast of the latest trends, experimenting with new approaches, and advocating for continuous improvement within the team.
  • • Collaborating closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
  • • Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • • Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across the entire stack.
  • • Contributing to the design and architecture of new services and features.
  • • Ensuring the security and integrity of our platform and user data.
  • • Optimizing application performance and resource utilization.
  • • Documenting technical designs, processes, and solutions.
  • • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • • Contributing to a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • • Playing a key role in the evolution of our open-core product, ensuring it remains competitive and valuable to our users.
  • • Working with technologies such as Python, Django, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, and AWS with Kubernetes.
  • • Utilizing monitoring tools like DataDog and Sentry to ensure system health and performance.
  • • Leveraging tools like GitHub, PGAdmin, Postman, and Pytest for development and testing.
  • • This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing company with a strong commitment to open-source and a clear vision for the future of work management. You will be part of a talented, global team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
