- • Join ABA. CO, a proud Finni Health company, as a dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and become an integral part of a mission-driven team committed to transforming the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs.
- • In this vital, hands-on role, you will provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, directly implementing individualized treatment plans meticulously crafted by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- • Your primary focus will be to foster significant developmental progress and enhance the daily living skills of the children you serve, creating a tangible and lasting positive impact within their own familiar environments.
- • You will be instrumental in delivering evidence-based ABA interventions, employing a variety of techniques designed to increase positive behaviors, reduce challenging behaviors, and promote the acquisition of essential life skills such as communication, social interaction, and self-care.
- • A core responsibility involves meticulously observing and documenting client progress, meticulously recording data on target behaviors, intervention effectiveness, and any observed changes. This data is crucial for informing treatment adjustments and demonstrating the efficacy of our therapies.
- • You will actively participate in regular supervision sessions with your assigned BCBA, engaging in collaborative discussions about client cases, receiving constructive feedback, and continually refining your therapeutic approach.
- • This role requires a proactive and engaged approach to professional development, including attending all mandatory team meetings, in-service training sessions, and workshops designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in ABA therapy and related fields.
- • You will be expected to adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and best practices in ABA therapy, ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of every child and family you work with.
- • The ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with both the children and their families is paramount, fostering a supportive and collaborative therapeutic alliance.
- • You will play a key role in empowering families by educating them on ABA principles and strategies, enabling them to support their child's development outside of therapy sessions.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the rapidly growing field of ABA therapy, working with a diverse range of clients and contributing to their journey towards greater independence and improved quality of life.
- • You will be responsible for managing your schedule effectively to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery in accordance with the treatment plans.
- • The role demands creativity and adaptability, as you will need to tailor interventions to the specific needs, interests, and developmental levels of each child, often within the dynamic context of their home environment.
- • You will contribute to a positive and supportive team culture, collaborating with fellow technicians and BCBAs to share insights and best practices.
- • Ultimately, your work as a Behavior Technician will directly contribute to ABA. CO's mission of providing compassionate, high-quality, in-home ABA therapy, making a profound difference in the lives of children and families in the Carlsbad community and beyond.
- • This is more than just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference, to witness firsthand the growth and achievements of the children you support, and to build a rewarding career in a field that is making a significant positive impact on society.
