- • Manage end-to-end billing operations for global web products with monthly transaction volumes up to $1M, ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation across multiple payment channels.
- • Design, implement, and optimize a proprietary anti-fraud system from inception, including selecting, integrating, and configuring fraud detection tools such as SEON and Merchanto.
- • Develop and maintain custom fraud detection rules based on transaction patterns, user behavior, and regional risk profiles to minimize fraudulent activity and chargebacks.
- • Monitor real-time fraud alerts and chargeback notifications, investigating anomalies and coordinating with payment processors and banks to resolve disputes efficiently.
- • Sync anti-fraud filters and rules with the payment orchestrator to ensure seamless, automated enforcement of fraud policies across all payment flows.
- • Analyze chargeback trends and root causes, producing actionable insights to reduce financial losses and improve payment approval rates.
- • Collaborate with product, engineering, and finance teams to align fraud prevention strategies with business goals and user experience objectives.
- • Maintain detailed documentation of fraud rules, system configurations, and operational workflows for audit readiness and team knowledge transfer.
- • Track key performance metrics including chargeback ratio, fraud detection accuracy, false positive rates, and revenue impact of fraud mitigation efforts.
- • Stay current with evolving payment fraud trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in billing security and compliance.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on billing integrity, fraud incidents, and payment system reliability.
- • Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual billing and fraud monitoring tasks to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and other relevant financial regulations across all billing and fraud prevention activities.
- • Work closely with customer support to resolve billing-related user issues while maintaining strict fraud controls.
- • Report weekly and monthly financial health summaries to leadership, highlighting fraud trends, revenue protection outcomes, and system performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience managing billing operations for digital products with monthly transaction volumes exceeding $500K
- • Hands-on experience implementing and tuning fraud detection systems using tools like SEON, Merchanto, or similar platforms
- • Demonstrated success in reducing chargeback rates through rule-based fraud prevention strategies
- • Strong understanding of payment gateways, payment orchestrators, and chargeback workflows
- • Ability to analyze transaction data and identify patterns indicative of fraud or system vulnerabilities
- • Experience working in a fast-paced, international product environment with cross-functional teams
