Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • The Bridgegate EiPaaS Developer role is a critical operations-focused position responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of healthcare EDI transactions—particularly 834 enrollment files—through the Bridgegate EiPaaS platform, directly supporting downstream business functions like member enrollment and provider network management.
- • This role bridges technical execution and operational continuity, serving as the subject matter expert for EDI workflows, data integrity, and system reliability within a regulated healthcare environment, where precision and compliance are non-negotiable.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing end-to-end processing of HIPAA-compliant 834 files, interpreting and implementing EDI transactions per ANSI ASC X12 standards, building and maintaining templates for new file configurations, validating data mappings, and monitoring secure FTP/SFTP transfers for connectivity and transmission integrity.
- • The developer actively monitors all EiPaaS/Bridgegate workflows, designs and implements logging and alerting mechanisms to detect anomalies, reviews system logs for errors or performance degradation, and establishes proactive controls to prevent operational disruptions before they impact business operations.
- • As the primary point of contact for EiPaaS-related issues, the role involves investigating workflow errors, mapping discrepancies, and data inconsistencies, performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and escalating infrastructure concerns to IT or vendors when necessary.
- • Documentation and governance are central: maintaining detailed records of templates, workflows, and transaction logic, establishing SOPs, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit standards, and participating in pre-deployment testing of workflow enhancements.
- • The role demands strong analytical thinking to diagnose complex data discrepancies, operational ownership to maintain system stability, and exceptional communication skills to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders across Operations, IT, vendors, and trading partners.
- • Effective time management and prioritization are essential for handling multiple concurrent workflows and time-sensitive file processing issues, supported by strong organizational habits in issue tracking and documentation maintenance.
- • Continuous improvement is expected: identifying opportunities to reduce error rates, enhance workflow efficiency, adapt to regulatory changes (e.g., HIPAA updates), and embrace evolving integration requirements through process optimization.
- • Behavioral competencies emphasize collegiality, initiative, clear communication, member-centricity, detail orientation, flexibility, critical thinking, and collaboration—fostering a culture of trust and shared accountability.
- • The Operations team at Avesis is mission-driven, committed to ethical standards, skill-building, leadership development, and community impact, offering a supportive environment where diverse colleagues collaborate to deliver world-class supplemental benefits experiences.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in healthcare EDI standards, gain mastery of the Bridgegate EiPaaS platform, and become a trusted authority on data integration workflows—positioning you for advancement into senior operational technology, healthcare IT, or data governance roles within a growing, values-led organization.
🎯 Requirements

- • 2+ years of experience in operations, EDI processing, healthcare enrollment, or systems workflow management.
- • 1-2 years of direct experience working with 834 electronic files and understanding of EDI file structures.
- • Experience using Bridgegate or a comparable integration or data workflow platform.
- • Demonstrated experience monitoring automated workflows and resolving production issues.
- • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- • Ability to interpret data mappings and validate file outputs.
- • Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis tools.
